Tarmac
The installation is key to a successful driveway or path way.
As all roadways in the world are durable for heavy wear and tear, so is the weight
factor of driveways, that is why we use two kinds of tarmac:
One for heavy wears and TYPES TWO for lightweights such as cars
The Process & Installation
1) Area to be excavated to approximately 200mm
to 300mm depth dependant on weight factors of the vehicles.
2) A goetext permeable membrane covering the whole area with grade A or type
1 road stone.
3) Compact this down to correct levels.
4) A base coat of tarmac with a 25mm depth is laid and compacted down followed
by 75mm thickness of small aggregate tarmac to the correct level.
5) The key factor is that the tarmac is kept at the correct temperature, so
closed in lorries are important.
6) We always use kerbs or edgings supports. |
